How do I get a color from an image?
Add the image, then either read the dominant colors it pulls out automatically, or click any spot on the image to sample that exact pixel.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No. The image is read and analysed in your browser. It never leaves your device and nothing is stored.
How are the dominant colors chosen?
The image is scanned and similar colors are grouped, then the largest groups are ranked. The result is the handful of colors that cover the most area.
What image formats can I use?
Any image your browser can open, including JPG, PNG, WebP and GIF. Large images are scaled down internally so the analysis stays fast.
